Driving and Boating Memorial Day Safety

(Jefferson City, MO) Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol urge you to use safety and be attentive this weekend whether you're driving or boating. Highway Patrol Corporal Dallas Thompson says this could be the weekend many people get their boats on our waterways for the first time this year and it's always a good idea to remember to wear a life jacket.

Thompson explains over 90% of those who die in the water were not using a life vest or flotation device.
