Desloge Man Charged with Statutory Rape, Sodomy, and Incest in Iron County Investigation

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Desloge man is facing multiple felony charges after a report of sexual abuse involving a juvenile led to a criminal investigation in Iron County.

The Iron County Sheriff's Office says the investigation began on October 26, 2024, after the Desloge Police Department provided information regarding possible sexual abuse of a child. The case was then assigned to an Iron County detective for follow-up.

Authorities have charged 30-year-old Ryan Nickolas Belfield with three serious crimes. He is accused of statutory rape or attempted statutory rape in the first degree involving a victim under the age of 14. He also faces a charge of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy involving deviate sexual intercourse with a child under 14. A third charge of incest has also been filed against him.

Belfield is currently in custody and awaiting trial. The investigation is ongoing.
