Cadet Man Charged with Murder and Arson

(Washington County, MO) A man from Cadet, 50 year old Andrew Lige Richards, is facing two charges of murder, one charge of arson and one of robbery, four charges of armed criminal action, a charge of possession of a controlled substance, and one charge of resisting arrest in connection to the fire that took place on Arnault Branch Road in Cadet Monday evening, December 7th, about 5:30. According to reports Richards is alleged to have entered the residence and shot and killed 11 year old Trevor Cook and 53 year old Tammy Feverston. He then is said to have set fire to the residence, stole several items, including cell phones, and fled. Law enforcement officials attempted to pull Richards over on Highway 21 December 9th and a chase began. The vehicle crashed on John Smith Road and Richards was taken into custody. Richards has a bond reduction hearing next Tuesday, December 22nd.
