Byrne's Mill Investigation Turned Over

(Jefferson County, MO) The results of an investigation into the City of Byrne's Mill's Police Department are being scrutinized by Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney officials. According to a press release from Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak Deputies received a request, with evidence, showing Byrne's Mill employees altered court documents. The request from a victim witness asked to look into allegations of the town's Police Chief voiding traffic and criminal summonses for others before they were examined by the municipal Prosecuting Attorney, along with other improprieties and criminal violations. The results of the investigation were also sent to the Missouri Attorney General's office. Officers also recommended the city of Byrne's Mill hire an outside firm to conduct an audit and internal review beyond the criminal investigation conducted by the Sheriff's office.
