Business and Legislative Job Education Partnership

(Farmington, MO) Officials with US Tool , and other area businesses, are hosting tours for High School students to help educate a future workforce in regards to skilled employment opportunities available in the Parkland. The Vice President of Human Resources at US Tool, Tony Meyer, says several trade companies have banded together with legislators to help students in the Parkland find a career path.

Farmington High School Senior Landon Reeder, says he's always been interested in engineering and the Job Education tours help him make informed choices on a career.

The partnership began about 3 years ago. About 40% of high school graduates go to college and about 20% of those complete a degree. Brockmiller Construction, Sachs Electric, Lee Mechanical, and Taylor Engineering are only a few of the business involved in the partnership. Nearly 300 students visited US Tool Tuesday for the Job Education Tours.
