Bonne Terre Public Safety Sales Tax

(Bonne Terre, MO) Bonne Terre officials will place a 1% public safety sales tax on the ballot. The City Administrator of Bonne Terre, Shawn Kay, says this could result in higher wages for police officers.

According to Kay the issue would be placed on the April 2022 ballot. If voters approve the new tax it could generate about $500,000 for Bonne Terre's police and fire departments.
