Blunt Urges Expansion of Mental Health Program

(Washington, DC) Missouri United States Senator, Roy Blunt, is looking for support for legislation he and Senator Debbie Stabenow, of Michigan, have put together that would expand the Excellence in Mental Health Act. Missouri and Michigan are both part of the Excellence pilot program, which created the nation's first Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics. Blunt says the program would not only get mental health care to everyone but would also save money.

According to Blunt this program runs parallel with the President's desire to make mental health care available to every American who needs it.
