(Washington, D.C.) Missouri United States Senator, Roy Blunt, is announcing he will not run for reelection in 2022. Blunt says growing up on a dairy farm helped him realize the importance of getting the job done and how to apply that attitude to working for the citizens of Missouri. Blunt adds he wants to thank everyone who supported him.
Before serving in Congress, Blunt was a history teacher, a county official, and in 1984 became the first Republican elected as Missouri’s Secretary of State in more than 50 years. He was elected to the United States Senate in 2010.
