Blue Alert Test Gets Wrong Option

(Jefferson City, MO) Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol are announcing Tuesday's routine test of Missouri’s Blue Alert system had a glitch. An option was inadvertently selected allowing the message to be disseminated to the public through wireless devices statewide. The Patrol regularly tests the Blue Alert system to ensure it works properly when needed. There was no real Emergency at the time.
