(Bonne Terre, MO.) Big River Bonne Terre firefighters are ready to move into the future after the dedication of a new firehouse and new ladder truck this weekend for the department. The Department is housed on North Allen Street and the truck and firehouse were given to the city by local businessman Sharo Shirshekan. Fire Chief David Pratte told the crowd at a dedication ceremony Saturday the benefits provided are too numerous to list and it all came at no cost to the city.
Later, in the firehouse KFMO B104 News caught up with Chief Pratte and he says words can't describe how blessed he feels to have the new firehouse and ladder truck.
We attempted to talk to Shirshekan about his involvement in the project and he declined comment saying the Glory goes to God for guiding everyone involved through the process. The new firehouse and ladder truck are expected to cover the department's needs for over the next 50 years.
