(Farmington, MO.) The property on Maple Street in Farmington, that used to house the old St. Francois County Road and Bridge Department building, is now up for sale and bids were opened at today's weekly meeting of the St. Francois County Commission. Associate County Commissioner, Patrick Mullins, says the building was used for many years and the ground had become contaminated so clean was required before they could put the land up for sale.
Mullins also says when the property was remediated they were sure to have it made ready for residential, as well as commercial, buildings thus opening the land up for any purpose. According to Mullins County Commissioners will study the bids they've received and make a decision on who'll be awarded the work later. The land bids were opened at today's St. Francois County Commission meeting along with bids for a new county government phone system and website design.
