Area Woman Facing Child Porn Charges

(Washington County, MO) A Desloge woman is awaiting arraignment on child porn charges. 54 year old Michelle Renee Allen, formerly of Mineral Point, has been charged in Washington County with 4 counts of first degree promoting child pornography. Court documents allege that back in February of last year, the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began investigating tips provided by Facebook through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. During course of the investigation, Allen was identified as the suspect. A search warrant was executed, and uncovered that Allen distributed pornographic videos involving children to a man in Crawford County. Allen allegedly sent 4 videos to the man via Facebook Messenger back in December of 2019. Allen is set to be arraigned on March 16th.
