Area Men Face Charges after Capitol Incident

(Washington, DC) Two men, 41 year old Jared Luther Owens of Farmington, and 49 year old Jason William Wallace of St. Claire are facing charges of obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder and assault on law enforcement with a dangerous or deadly weapon in connection to the January 6th Capitol Incident in Washington DC. They're also charged with 6 misdemeanors in connection to the incident. Video shows Owens and Wallace attended the "Stop the Steal" rally near the Capitol. They then walked to a restricted area of the capitol and were captured on video screaming at police, attacking barriers, and breaching police lines. The pair were in court on the charges Monday.
