221 Overlay Following Curve Straightening

Doe Run, Mo. (KFMO) - Highway 221, west of Doe Run, will be getting an asphalt overlay following the current project that's straightening a dangerous section of road near the Stono Mountain area.

Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer, Chris Crocker, says the overlay won't happen until next year.

Highway 221 is closed just west of Doe Run and will remain so for about the next 6 weeks as the road is straightened. A half hour detour is in place for residents of the area.
