2 Park Hills Fires in 1 Day

(Park Hills, MO) Park HIlls Firemen are reporting no injuries after fighting two different fires Wednesday. The first fire caused fire fighters to be called out about 1:45 am when a  vacant house on National Street caught fire. Park Hills Fire Chief, Brad Weiss, says the house had no utilities and it is a total loss. The cause of that fire is under investigation. The call for the second fire was from Piramal Glass at 1000 Taylor Avenue. It took place around 1:15 and was extinguished by workers at the factory before firemen arrived. According to Weiss maintenance workers said a gas or air line was compromised and it started the fire. One employee was checked for chemical injuries to his eyes and lungs. The employees condition is unknown.
