Broadcasters from Missouri in Washington, D.C. Lobbying Lawmakers

Washington, D.C. (KFMO) - There are 4 major legislative issues that are affecting the radio industry.

Broadcasters from Missouri are lobbying lawmakers at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. this week. A board member of the Missouri Broadcastrs Association, and Owner Managing Partner with Odle Media Group, Chelley Odle, was in Washington, D.C. this week, says one of those is removing AM radios from new vehicles. According to Odle this would put America's emergency infrastructure at risk.

Odle also says other issues include tax law modifications that make advertising more costly for businesses, a performance tax that would be levied against radio stations, and outdated bureaucratic radio and TV rules that limit local radio stations ablitlity to grow and compete against big tech.
