Jefferson City, MO. (KFMO) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold a public meeting at 5:30 p.m., January, 8 in Jefferson City to discuss results of a lower Missouri River flood study.
The meeting will provide an overview of the Lower Missouri River Jefferson City spinoff study draft report and an open discussion. This is an opportunity for the public to ask questions regarding the Lower Missouri Jefferson City spinoff study.
The purpose of the study was to identify causes and impacts of recurring flooding along the Capital View Levee and the unconstructed, but authorized, Missouri River Levee System L-142 project near Jefferson City, in Callaway County. The study area included the north, or left, bank of the Missouri River at Jefferson City in the vicinity of mile marker 142.
The meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Lewis and Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Dr., in Jefferson City.
