Theron Bess, a beloved member of the East Bonne Terre Church, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in Bonne Terre, MO, surrounded by his loving family. Born on Thursday, August 17, 1950, to the late Goldman and Viola (Richardson) Bess.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws Lilburn and Mary Eckhoff; granddaughter, Alexea Marie; siblings, Charlotte Dueringer, Peggy Manning, Dean Bess, Wendell Bess, Dicky Bess and sister-in -law Wanda Bess.
Theron is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Anita (Eckhoff) Bess; children, Ashley (Omar) Muro, Michelle (Marty) Boyer, and Tony Bess; grandchildren, Aliyah and Amiyah Muro, Nicholas (Leanda) Boyer, Bayli (Landon) Finch and Emma Boyer; great-grandchild, Eli Boyer; siblings, Gaylon Bess and Rachel Lawson; Loving niece, Melissa (Michael) Langenhorst; dear friend, Vanessa Wagner and Bill Dean; Bonus daughters, Katie Allen and Melody Landholt, along with lots of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Theron found joy in the simple pleasures of life - hunting, fishing, collecting baseball memorabilia, and cruising on his beloved Harley Davidson. However, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his grandbabies and family, creating cherished memories that will be cherished for generations to come.
Theron's passion for life and his love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, Theron Bess. Your laughter, love, and wisdom will always be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing you. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Visitation will resume on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM until service time of 2:00 PM. Pastor Randy Murphy officiating. Graveside service to follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery.
