Geraldine “Geri” Smith Poucher, 68 of Farmington, formerly of Bonne Terre, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Presbyterian Manor. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre.
Born on Saturday, March 10, 1956 in Driedorf, Germany to her loving parents, Bronce and Theresia “Rosie” (Lindner) Smith.
In her earlier years Geri enjoyed bowling, ceramics, cross stitching, and fishing on the mighty Mississippi river with her family. She also enjoyed daisy flowers and decorating her home for the holidays. Geri was a beloved nurse who devoted her life to caring for her residents.
She is survived by her three children, Alina Braning (fiancé Jesse Barton), Ashley Carroll, and Alex Poucher; six grandchildren, Emma Braning, Logan Tabor, Gracie Braning, Heather “Gretal” Tabor, Katie Bear Braning, and Penny Lane Poucher; two brothers, Darrell (Geri) Smith, and Bronce (Anita) Smith; three nieces; two nephews; three great nieces; and a nephew on the way; and her former husband and best friend, Terry Poucher.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 5 P.M. until service time of 7 P.M. at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Pastor Randy Murphy will be officiating. The Mineral Area Nurse Honor Guard will hold a Nightingale Tribute starting 10 minutes prior to service time. A private inurnment will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Bonne Terre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made in Geri’s memory to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
