Winter Storm Watch Issued for the Parkland Region

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Jefferson, Washington, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Iron, Madison, and Reynolds Counties, effective from Saturday evening through late Sunday night.

What to Expect
Heavy mixed precipitation is possible, with snow and sleet accumulations ranging from 1 to 12 inches across the region, from south to north, and ice accumulations between one-tenth and one-half of an inch, or more, across the Parkland.

The watch includes southeast Missouri, encompassing much of the Parkland region.

The storm is expected to begin Saturday evening, intensify overnight, and continue through late Sunday night, potentially impacting the Monday morning commute.
