Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Jefferson, and Washington Counties, while an Ice Storm Warning is in effect for Iron, Madison, and Perry Counties. These warnings are in place from 10 p.m. Saturday through 6 a.m. Monday.
Precipitation Overview
All forms of wintry precipitation are expected across the region, with impacts varying by location:
Heavy snow is likely along and north of I-70, with snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour possible midday Sunday.
A mix of snow and sleet will occur south of I-70, including parts of the Parkland.
Freezing rain will dominate in far southeastern Missouri, leading to significant ice accumulations.

Iron and Madison Counties: 0.5 to 0.75 inches
Impacts
Road conditions are expected to deteriorate quickly, with hazardous travel likely beginning late Saturday night. The combination of ice and snow, along with NNE winds of 15-20 mph and gusts over 30 mph, will create a high risk for widespread power outages due to ice-laden trees and power lines.
Temperatures will plummet as the storm moves out, with highs in the low to mid-20s starting Monday and lows dipping into the single digits overnight.
