Windy Weather in the Parkland

(St. Francois County, MO) The hazardous weather outlook for the Parkland, from the National Weather Service, indicates a wind advisory is in effect today and tonight for portions of eastern and central Missouri and west central and southwest Illinois. The potential for wind gusts up to 40  miles per hour exists. Weather experts advise you be sure outdoor items are secure. Don't burn anything outdoors. You should stay away from trees that may have the potential for large limbs to be blown off. These winds also have the potential of damaging rooftops and effecting your driving ability in open spaces of the highway. Severe winds have caused power outages for hundreds of customers in Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Reynolds, Ripley, and Wayne Counties in Missouri and several additional; counties in Illinois.
