Washington County Motorcycle Crash

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A High Ridge man, David M. Cody, is recovergin from serious injuries after he was involved in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Washington County.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers say Cody was riding the motorcycle north on Highway 185, at Timber Ridge Road, and was traveling too fast for road conditions. Cody failed to make a curve to the left and the bike ran off the right side of the road. It began to slide, hit a tree branch, and flew through the air crossing over a private road. When the motorcycle landed the front wheel struck a concrete pillar. Cody was thrown from the bike and the motorcycle became airborne a second time crashing to the ground.

Cody, who was wearing a helmet during the wreck, was flown to Mercy Hospital at St. Louis.
