Washington County Automobile Wreck

(Washington County, MO) A man from Belleview, 26 year old Robert C. Akers, is suffering serious injuries after a one car accident in Washington County Sunday night just before midnight. Highway Patrol reports show Akers was driving west on Highway C, west of Drew Road. The car ran off the right side of the road and crashed into two trees throwing Akers out. The car then ran back onto the highway and off the left side of the road. Akers, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck, was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis.
