Vacant Mobile Home Fire

(Bonne Terre, MO) A vacant mobile home in Bonne Terre is a total loss after a fire destroyed the residential structure Tuesday evening. Big River Bonne Terre firefighters were called to the 2000 block of North Street, just before 6:45. Reports indicate heavy smoke was coming from the home when they arrived. Crews had the fire under control in about 12 minutes but firemen were on the scene for a couple of hours. The Fire Marshal as been called to investigate the cause of the blaze. Members of the Desloge, Farmington, Rural DeSoto, Jefferson R7, and Festus Fire departments provided assistance.
