UniTec Building Project Needs Funding

(Desloge, MO) The effort to add an additional 8000 square foot annex building to the UniTec Career Center, in the North County School District, continues. The Director of UniTec, Jeff Cauley, spoke to members of the Desloge Chamber at the group's monthly luncheon Tuesday. Cauley told the crowd UniTec instructors can provide excellent candidates for the work force but they need more room and updated facilities.

According to Cauley they've created the UniTec Foundation to help manage the effort and they're taking donations to assist in acquiring state matching grant funds for the project. The Executive Director of the Mineral Area Council on the Arts, Scottye Adkins, also addressed the Desloge Chamber meeting crowd. She gave an update on the program and it's goals for the new season.
