Two Women Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 21 in Washington County

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two drivers were seriously injured in a head-on crash Saturday morning on Highway 21, just south of Wallace Road, in Washington County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 7:09 a.m. when a southbound 2005 Hyundai Tucson, driven by a 39-year-old woman from Cadet, crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2024 Ram 2500 head-on. The Hyundai overturned and left the west side of the roadway, while the Ram also skidded off the west edge. The driver of the Hyundai suffered serious injuries, while the 49-year-old driver of the Ram, from Irondale, sustained moderate injuries.

Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and were transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
