Two Washington County Residents Injured in Accident

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two Blackwell residents, 38-year-old Crystal M. Hawley and 42-year-old John L. Hawley, are recovering from serious injuries after a motorcycle crash in Washington County Saturday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck took place at 10 p.m. as a van driven by 38-year-old Andrew G. Brown, of Rolla, was pulling out of a parking lot near Coyote Cove onto Highway 47 attempting to make a left turn. John Hawley was driving the motorcycle south on Highway 47. Brown pulled into Hawley's path striking Hawley's bike. Both John and Crystal Hawley were thrown from the motorcycle.

The Hawley's were not wearing helmets during the crash. They were taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. Brown was not injured.
