Two Men Injured in Madison County Accident

Madison Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two Perryville, Missouri men were injured in a Saturday accident in Madison County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, at 11:43 a.m., 42-year-old James L. Cartee, was driving a Jeep Cherokee on Route J, 4 miles east of Fredericktown, when the vehicle slid on wet pavement, went off the road and struck a tree. Cartee recieved serious injuries and was taken to Mercy South for treatment. His passenger, 37-year-old Brandon J. Henderson, was moderately injured, and taken to St. Francis Medical Center for treatment.

Cartee was not wearing a seatbelt, however Henderson was, when the accident occurred. The Jeep was listed as totaled.
