Two Arrested for Camper Break-In at Lake Hanna

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Authorities arrested two individuals Wednesday evening following a reported break-in at Lake Hanna in St. Francois County.

At approximately 6:03 p.m. on March 26, 2025, security personnel responded to a call regarding suspicious activity at the campground. Upon arrival, they encountered two individuals using a crowbar and hammer to gain entry into a camper and remove items. After contacting the lot owner, security confirmed that the suspects did not have permission to be on the property. St. Francois County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the scene, ultimately leading to the arrests of David Croney and Christina Sturgill. Both individuals are facing potential charges of trespassing, breaking and entering, and property damage.
