Tuesday Afternoon Washington County Crash

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two people from Bonne Terre, 24-year-old Sydney E. Stegall, and 20-year-old Jordan M. Stegall, are recovering from injuries after they were involved in a two car crash Wednesday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. in Washington County.

According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jordan Stegall was driving a sports car south on Industrial Drive and had stopped. Another car, driven by 37-year-old Donald J. Richardet of Farmington, was traveling west on Highway 8. Stegall's car stalled, as the result of a mechanical malfunction, and entered the path of Richardet's vehicle. The two cars crashed into one another and Stegall's began to spin throwing Sydney Stegall out of the vehicle. She received moderate injuries while Jordan Stegall was seriously injured. Richardet was not hurt.

Jordan Stegall was taken to Mercy Hospital South, at St. Louis, while Sydney Stegall was transported to Washington County Memorial in Potosi. Sydney Stegall was the only person invovled who was not wearing a seat belt during the crash.
