Ste. Genevieve Police Chief Runs for Sheriff

(St. Francois County, MO) The Police Chief of Ste. Genevieve, Jasen Crump, is announcing he will be a candidate for St. Francois County Sheriff in the August 2024 Republican Primary. Crump, a lifelong resident of St. Francois County, has been in law enforcement for 20 years. His past experience includes being a Sheriff’s Deputy for St. Francois County, a Patrolman for the City of Bonne Terre, and, in his current position, the Chief of Police in Ste. Genevieve. Crump says he wants to lead the department into the future through positive changes in the patrol division as well as the detention center and he adds he has developed short term and long term plans to accomplish that goal. Crump is a graduate of North County High School and the Mineral Area Police Academy. In addition to his law enforcement experience, Jasen has served as a volunteer Firefighter and held the position of Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Bonne Terre and as a Public Safety Dispatcher for the St. Francois County Communications Center.  Chief Crump is a current member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Missouri Police Chiefs Association, and the NRA.
