St. Louis Man Killed in Washington County Accident

(Washington County, MO) A man from St. Louis, 34 year old Shane Gamble, is dead after crashing his motorcycle head on into a pickup in Washington County Sunday afternoon. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Gamble was headed east on Highway 8, west of Folsom Road, when he crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting the truck driven by 29 year old Emily Jarvis, shortly after 2 o'clock. Gamble was thrown from the bike just before it caught fire. The motorcycle then went off the road and hit an embankment. Jarvis, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. Gamble, who was wearing a helmet when the wreck occurred, was pronounced dead at the scene.
