St. Francois County Traffic Accidents

(Leadington, MO) Several people are suffering injuries after two related traffic accidents took place in the north bound lanes of Highway 67 Wednesday afternoon at Leadington and the Fairgrounds Drive exit. Highway Patrol reports show the first wreck took place at 4:55 as a Bonne Terre man, Seth J. Carrow, was driving his pick up north, at the Leadington Highway 32 exit. He failed to notice two slower moving vehicles. One was another pick up driven by 51 year old Michael K. Evola, of Farmington, and the other was an SUV driven by 33 year old Dwayne J. Looney, of Potosi. Carrow's truck struck the rear of Evola's pick up causing it to crash into Looney's vehicle. Evola , who was seriously injured, was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis.
The second wreck took place at 5:30 in the northbound lanes of Highway 67, at the Fairgrounds Drive exit, as traffic was backed up from the previous crash at Leadington. According to records traffic was stooped when an SUV, driven by 32 year old Aleisha D. Gayler, of Bonne Terre, crashed into the rear of a car driven by 34 year old Andrew J. Lumsden, of Desloge. The front of Lumsden's car was pushed into the rear of a pick up driven by 40 year old Michael D. Sutton, of Ballwin. Lumsden was seriously injured. He was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. Gayler received moderate injuries while a 5 year female passenger of Gayler's received minor injuries. They were taken to Parkland Health Center South at Farmington.
