(Farmington, MO) St. Francois County Road and Bridge administrators will be gathering bids for the county's summer road overlay work after Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting. Commissioners approved soliciting bids for the work and the Highway Superintendent for St. Francois County, Clay Copeland, says bidding this kind of work is tricky considering the monthly changing crude oil price index.
There are over 400 miles of roadway in St. Francois maintained by the Road and Bridge department. Each year about 15 to 20 miles of new overlay is scheduled.
