St. Francois County Friday Crash

(St. Francois County, MO) A Park Hills man, 59 year old Ronald J. Johnston, is recovering from moderate injuries after he was involved in a one vehicle crash early Friday morning, just after 2 am, with a diesel truck he was driving in St. Francois County. Highway Patrol reports show Johnston was driving north on Highway 221, near St. Francois Hills Drive, when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road. The truck ran off the right side of the highway and rolled over onto its right side. Johnston, who was wearing a seat belt during the crash, was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis.
