St. Francois County Fatal Motorcycle Wreck

(De Lassus, MO.) A man from Farmington, 25 year old Jack D. Cable, is dead after he was involved in a motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon in St. Francois County. Highway Patrol reports show a pick up driven south by 60 year old Steven K. Rubel of Farmington, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 221 and Bray road just before 3 o'clock. The Patrol report indicates Cable was riding his motorcycle west as Rubel pulled out into the intersection. Cable's motorcycle crashed into Rubel's pick up and rolled over throwing Cable off. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Cable was wearing a helmet when the accident took place. Rubel, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
