St. Francois County 2023 April Elections Issues

(St. Francois County, MO) There is an issue on the April 4th election ballot that effects voters in St. Francois County, Farmington, Park Hills, and Leadington. The proposal is for a 3% sales tax on all retail sales of adult use marijuana sold within their boundaries. A separate issue, called Proposition 1, would see voters in Farmington go to the polls to approve the extension of the city's one half of one percent sales tax for capital improvements. The tax is set to expire March 31st. If approved the measure would help fund projects suggested by residents. The tax has been responsible for the Farmington Water Park, Splash Pad, and Community Center among other projects. KFMO News will carry coverage of the 2023 April Elections after the polls close at 7 o'clock.
