St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - There are several measures and contested races on Tuesday's election Ballot in the Parkland.
The Farmington School District will ask patrons to appropve a bond issue and a tax levy.
In the Potosi School District, a similar bond measure, Proposition C.A.R.E., would provide a Performing Arts Center that could double as a shelter, resurface the existing track, replace Trojan Marching Band Uniforms, and complete other repairs and improvements in the district.
Two fire departments, Big River Fire Department and the Terre DuLac Fire Department are asking voters to approve a measure making them Fire Protection Districts. This would create a board of Directors and a new tax levy for each.
Iron Mountain Lake Voters are going to vote on whether or not to collect a local sales tax on the titling of motor vehicles, trailers, boats, and outboard motors that are subject to state sales tax and purchased from a source other than a licensed Missouri dealer.
