Several Bills Become Law in Missouri

(Jefferson City, MO) Several pieces of legislation are now laws in Missouri after Governor Mike Parson held a bill signing ceremony at the State Capitol Thursday, June 16th. Six pieces of legislation were signed including one establishing Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Week and promotes career and technical education, among other provisions. Other bills now law in the state include one that would modify the offense of escaping from custody, another that addresses opioid addiction treatment, a bill that modifies provisions relating to ground ambulance services, and a measure which modifies provisions relating to Missouri local government employee's retirement systems.
