Roundabout Project Still Planned for Desloge

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - A major project is planned for Desloge next year, which includes a roundabout.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) held a public meeting, about two years ago, to inform the public of the plan for the roundabout. MoDOT Area Engineer, Chris Crocker, says plans have been fine tuned and have been working to aquire right-of-ways for the project. 

Crocker says that the roundabout is a single lane roundabout, which will navigate bigger trucks. 

Crocker says the reason it works so well is because it has right turn bypass lanes. He says that although it's a single lane roundabout, you won't have to go through it if you are making a right hand turn. He said it shouldn't be a big problem learning how to navigate the new roundabout.
