Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - St. Francois County officials are informing residents of the county's road district tax and the fact it will expire in 2027 due to a sunset clause.
The announcement was made at the St. Francois County State of the County address held Friday in the Cardinal Center at Mineral Area College.
The Presiding Commissioner of the county, Harold Gallaher, the featured speaker for the event, told the crowd if we don't continue the tax, our county roads will deteriorate.
