Recreational Marijuana Sales Begin in Missouri

(Jefferson City, MO) According to officials with the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services recreational marijuana sales are underway in the state. Officials with the department say their Division of Cannabis Regulation is approving conversion requests from medical dispensaries that requested the ability to sell adult use marijuana. Alex Freund is with the Valley Dispensary in Farmington and he says since this industry is new to Missouri, business owners and officials are setting the rules quickly.

Nearly all of the medical dispensaries in the state applied for the comprehensive license to sell both types. The process could cause some dispensaries in Missouri to not be able to sell until Monday. It's recommended you call ahead and see if your dispensary of choice is able to sell adult use marijuana now. If not all dispensaries in Missouri will be able to legally sell adult use marijuana by Monday.
