Prosecutor Applying for Special Crimes Grant

(Farmington, MO) The St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney's office is in the final submission process for a federal grant, which would be used to fund their Crimes Against Children and Sex Crimes programs. An Investigator for the Prosecuting Attorney's office, Ryan Miller, says COVID relief funds can be used, since the county experienced a significant increase in those crimes during the pandemic.

Miller adds the funds will be used to hire an additional prosecutor to work specifically on crimes against children, and sex crimes cases.
