Pedestrian Struck in Ste. Genevieve County

(Ste. Genevieve County, MO) A woman from Bloomsdale is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Ste. Genevieve County Wednesday at 5:30 pm. According to Highway Patrol reports a woman from St. Louis, 49 year old Gregana Choko L. Gouneva, was driving a van north on Highway 61, north of Missouri Avenue. Bloomsdale resident, 74 year old Barbara J. Fisher, was walking across the highway, from west to east, and crossed into the van's path. Fisher was struck and killed by the vehicle. Gouneva was uninjured.
