Park Hills Utilities Department Responds to Significant Water Main Break; Boil Water Advisory Issued

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Park Hills Utilities Department is addressing another major water main break, causing disruptions in service for many residents. Crews have been working tirelessly in hazardous, cold conditions to repair the break and restore water services.

Boil Water Advisory in Effect

Residents in the following areas are under a Boil Water Advisory until at least Wednesday, January 22, 2025:

Main Street to Jefferson, from 4th Street to 8th Street, including all areas within this boundary.

What Residents Should Expect

Low to No Water Pressure: Water pressure will remain low or completely unavailable until repairs are completed.

Safety Precautions: During the Boil Water Advisory, all water used for drinking (including pets), making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and preparing food must be boiled for at least one minute before use. Pets should only consume boiled or bottled water during this advisory.

City Utilities crews have been responding to multiple water main breaks across Park Hills since Wednesday night, enduring freezing temperatures and long hours with minimal rest. The city has expressed its gratitude to these essential workers, highlighting their commitment to maintaining water services in the community.

"We deeply appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents as our crews work diligently to address this issue," the Utilities Department said in a statement.
