Old Hospital Renovation on Hold

(Farmington, MO) The renovation of the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center building on Weber Road at Farmington is being put on hold. The Presiding Commissioner of St. Francois County, Harold Gallaher, says the work stopped because officials with the East Missouri Action Agency withdrew their application for grant monies that would have helped finish the project, and will place their efforts in another location.

According to Gallaher there is another development that will be taking place at the old hospital and an announcement on what will be taking place, should be made soon.
