National Weather Service Wind Advisory

(St. Louis, MO) A wind advisory is in effect from the National Weather Service and it continues until 3 AM Wednesday. Portions of east central, central, northeast, and southeast Missouri, as well as areas of south central, southwest, and west central Illinois are effected. Officials with the Weather Service say southerly winds will move at 20 to 30 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph expected.  Weather experts advise you be sure outdoor items are secure. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.These winds also have the potential of damaging rooftops and winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
