St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A two-vehicle collision on US 67 Southbound at Blomeier Road in St. Francois County sent six people to the hospital on New Year’s Day.
The crash occurred at 1:30 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. According to the crash report, a 2009 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 51-year-old Farmington woman, attempted to make a left turn from the right lane, crossing into the path of a southbound 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. The Equinox, driven by a 28-year-old Farmington woman, collided with the Corolla.
The 28-year-old driver of the Equinox suffered minor injuries, along with a 32-year-old male occupant. Three children in the Equinox, ages 10, 2, and an infant, were also injured.
The 10-year-old girl sustained moderate injuries, while the others suffered minor injuries. The 51-year-old driver of the Corolla was treated for minor injuries.
All six individuals involved in the crash were transported to Parkland Health Center in Farmington for treatment.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
