Motorcycle Fire Truck Accident

(St. Francois County, MO) A man from Park Hills, 61 year old Thomas M. White, is suffering serious injuries after he was involved in a wreck with a fire truck in St. Francois County Sunday morning just after 9:30. Highway patrol reports show White was riding his motorcycle south on Highway 67 at the Fairgrounds Exit. A fire truck driven by 39 year old Ronald E. Hicks, of Cadet, was also traveling south on 67 and it's fire hose was unraveling. Hicks pulled over to the side of the road with emergency lights flashing. The bike hit the hose couplings and began to overturn onto its right side. It skidded off the right side of the highway. White was flown to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. He was wearing a helmet when the wreck occurred.
